A vehicle has exploded on a bridge connecting the U.S. and Canada.
The FBI has issued a warning, stating that the situation is “very fluid.”
The explosion reportedly occurred on the Rainbow Bridge in Niagara Falls.
New York’s governor also confirmed there has been an incident on the Rainbow Bridge.
Authorities are closely monitoring the situation.

In a statement, Gov. Kathy Hochul said:
“I’ve been briefed on the incident on the Rainbow Bridge in Niagara Falls and we are closely monitoring the situation.
“State agencies are on site and ready to assist.”
According to early reports, evacuations are currently underway in the surrounding area.

Law enforcement is placing K-9 officers on each of the international bridges in the area.
Local news station WIVB is reporting that all four international border crossings between the U.S. and Canada in Western New York have now been closed due to the incident.
Bomb squads have reportedly arrived in the area surrounding the bridge.

Some initial reports have described the explosion as a “car bomb.”
However, it is still unclear what caused the explosion at this time.
In a statement on Twitter/X, the FBI in Buffalo wrote:
“The FBI Buffalo field office is investigating a vehicle explosion at the Rainbow Bridge, a border crossing between the US and Canada in Niagara Falls.
“The FBI is coordinating with our local, state, and federal law enforcement partners in this investigation.
“As this situation is very fluid, that’s all we can say at this time.”
