Pop star Britney Spears was assaulted Wednesday night in Las Vegas by NBA star rookie Victor Wembanyama’s security.
According to reports, Spears was slapped in the face and knocked down to the ground.
Witnesses alleged that a male member of Wembanyama’s security team stuck Spears hard enough that her glasses flew off her face.
Wembanyama, from France, was the first pick in the recent NBA draft.
He is a 7″5 phenom in Las Vegas for the NBA’s summer league.
The man who reportedly backhanded Spears was the Director of Team Security for the San Antonio Spurs.
The singer has filed a police report alleging battery.
The alleged battery happened at Catch restaurant around 8 pm Wednesday night.
According to TMZ: “Britney and co. walked over to Catch, and as they were entering the restaurant, Britney spotted Victor.
“We’re told she’s a fan and went over to him to ask if they could take a photo together.
“She tapped him on his back, right shoulder and, we’re told the Director of Team Security for the San Antonio Spurs — the team that drafted Victor last month — instantly backhanded her, causing her to fall to the ground … knocking her glasses off.”
According to TMZ, Spears gracefully got up and walked to her table.
When the security guy realized he lost his job he reportedly apologized to Spears.
