CBS News has aired a show that offered up radical suggestions for fighting so-called “climate change.”
Among those ideas, “CBS Saturday Morning” pushed a plan backed by Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates and leftist billionaire George Soros.
The plan involves blocking the Sun’s rays from reaching the Earth using solar geoengineering.
The scheme would lower the planet’s temperature and allegedly combat “global warming.”
The network explained that the U.S. government is currently investigating stratospheric geoengineering.
Gates previously “backed a major project at Harvard using balloons to deploy aerosols,” the report noted.
The report went on to admit the Gates-funded tests “were put on hold after some pushback.”

Similar aerosol-deploying balloons were being tested in Mexico late last year by a startup company.
However, the nation’s government completely banned solar geoengineering experiments in January 2023.
The CBS report also cited a recent report from the UN suggesting giant mirrors be placed in space to reflect sunlight.
Even proponents of solar geoengineering admit they don’t know how it could alter the climate in the long term or what health effects it could have on humans.
As Slay News previously reported, Soros recently spoke out in support of the radical plan.
Soros touted the plan during his address at the Munich Security Conference on Thursday.
According to Fox News, Soros boasted that he had discovered a process where white clouds are created to reflect sunlight away from the planet’s surface.
He claims the technology will help to prevent ice sheets from melting.
Ice sheets melting in Greenland in particular, he claimed, could doom human civilization.
“Our civilization is in danger of collapsing because of the inexorable advance of climate change,” Soros warned.
“That poses a threat to the survival of our civilization,” he continued.
“I wasn’t willing to accept that fate, so I tried to find out whether anything could be done to avoid it.
“Unless we change the way, we deal with climate change, our civilization will be thoroughly disrupted by rising temperatures that will make large parts of the world practically unlivable.”
Elsewhere o the CBS show, “experts” and “scientists” celebrated efforts to replace traditional meats in the human food system with insects.
As Slay News reported, CBS declared that adding bugs to the general public’s food supply is a “game-changer” in the so-called fight against “climate change.”
