Charles Barkley is reportedly in talks to join the media team for the President Donald Trump-endorsed LIV Golf Series.
NBA legend Barkley, currently a star announcer on TNT, Charles revealed the devlopment on “The Next Round” show.
Co-host Ryan Brown asked Barkley: “You’ve always been super honest with us.
“I’m about to put you on the spot here because you love golf.
“You know, I love golf and there is this rumor I’ve heard from a couple people in the golf world that the LIV tour is coming after you as like a face of their media, like an analyst or something like that.
“Is there any truth to that or is this just rumor?”
“I’m gonna meet with LIV,” Barkley said.
“Oh, so there is some truth to it,” Brown said, stunned at the news.
Barkley said: “To be always transparent and honest.
“Um, they called me and asked me would I meet with them.
“And I said, yes.
“Nothing is imminent.
“I actually don’t know everything they want from me or what they technically want me to do.
“But you got to always look at every opportunity that’s available.
“So to answer your question, it’s a hundred percent yes, I’m gonna meet with LIV,” he said.
“The answer to your question is 100% yes. I’m gonna meet with LIV.” On today’s show, Charles Barkley joined us in studio and confirmed that he will be speaking to Greg Norman about a role with LIV Golf. @NoLayingUp @RiggsBarstool @barstoolsports @GOLF_com @GolfDigest @GolfChannel pic.twitter.com/AOMQJRoKZB

According to The Chicago Sun-Times:
“The upstart league that is at odds with the PGA Tour has long been criticized as a way for the Saudi government to sports-wash its human rights record.
“It offers 54-hole events with no cuts and guaranteed money for the 48-player fields, as well as multi-million dollar deals, some well over $100 million.
“The currently LIV broadcast, which is only available via online streaming, boasts former voice of the Premier League on NBC, Arlo White, who is in his first foray as a golf announcer.
“He’s joined in the booth by former Golf Channel analyst Jerry Foltz and Dom Boulet.”
