Eva Evans, the 29-year-old director of the Prime Video series “Club Rat,” has died suddenly, according to her family.
Evans’ sister Lila Joy announced the young woman’s death Sunday on Instagram.
“Yesterday my family received news that our sweet, fabulous, creative, caring, hilarious Eva, my beautiful sister, has died,” she said.
“After 24 hours, I still find myself in a constant cycle of denial and acceptance, so I know how unbelievable and hard to process this news will be,” Evans’ sister continued.
“We will be holding a celebration of Eva this coming Tuesday, 4/23, in the evening in lower Manhattan.”
“I wish I had Eva here now to refer to because she would have better words and know how to say what I don’t,” Joy said.
Her sister added that the public will soon “be hearing a lot more from me on how much Eva means to me and just how different the world will be without her.”
Eva Evans’ cause of death has not been made public, however, and her family provided no further details.
Evans was also a hugely popular social media star who regularly posted videos on TikTok about celebrities, fashion, lifestyle, and New York City, where she lived.
Some of her videos garnered over 1 million views.
However, her recent posts show no indication of ill health.
Evans, who had more than 300,000 TikTok followers at the time of her death, last posted a video to the social media platform on Thursday.
She said that she believed pop star Jo Jo Siwa needed a new stylist, hairdresser, and makeup team.

Last year, Evans was working on a five-episode series on Amazon’s Prime Video called “Club Rat.”
She wrote, directed, and starred in the series.
“I’m the director and the creator of a show called Club Rat, and right now we’re casting for two supporting female leads and two guest-starring male roles,” Evans said in a video posted to her TikTok account last April.

In the Prime Video series, Evans played a “self-absorbed influencer” who “attempts to re-enter the chaotic New York City dating scene after a candid video of her humiliating breakup goes viral.”
She starred alongside Noa Fisher and Marcela Avelina in the show.

Evans’ friends and fans have been flooding social media to express their shock over her sudden death.
Actress Julia Fox has paid a tearful tribute to her friend Evans following her death.
Fox responded to the news in an emotional video, paying tribute to the “New York icon” who she described as “like a little sister.”
“That was the kind of person that she was, always sticking up for me,” the “Uncut Gems” star said through tears.
“She passed away and she was so young, still had so much to do in life.
“But she lived life to the fullest.”
Fox also lamented that Evans’ death came so quickly after that of fellow TikTok star Kyle Marissa Roth.
Roth recently died suddenly at the age of 36.
“I don’t know what is happening because we just lost Kyle,” Fox sobbed.
“I live so much on this app and I feel like you guys are my family sometimes.”
Reality star Lo Bosworth also expressed her condolences in Evans’ last Instagram post before her death.
“Rest in peace, angel Eva you were always kind to me when others couldn’t be bothered,” the star of “The Hills” wrote.
“Will never forget that kindness.”
