CNN recently provoked outrage by airing a fake image of President Donald Trump during a prime-time broadcast.
However, the far-left network has now issued a rare on-air retraction for using a doctored image of Trump.
In the network’s relentless effort to undermine Trump’s re-election, CNN aired a fake image of the 45th president.
The image insinuated a level of intimacy between Trump and Laura Loomer, an infamous right-wing provocateur.
The fake image depicted Trump placing one hand on Loomer’s back.
However, the image of Trump had been altered to make Trump clearly oversized.
Anderson Cooper aired an obviously edited photo of Trump on his show last night as legitimate.

CNN didn’t bother to verify the picture before blasting it out to millions of its viewers, many of whom are predisposed to believe anything that makes Trump look bad.
“Friday evening and on Saturday, CNN aired a number of segments that briefly showed an image of former President Donald Trump and Laura Loomer taken from social media,” CNN host Pamela Brown said.
“On review, this image had been digitally altered by a third party and should not have been included. We regret the error.”
In response to CNN’s retraction, Loomer called on host Anderson Cooper to personally apologize or face legal action for the “defamatory” segments.
“If you do not issue a retraction in writing on X for showing fake and photoshopped pics of me and President Trump in an effort to spew a sick, misogynistic, and defamatory attack against me, I will sue you, the same way I’m going to sue @billmaher,” Loomer wrote in her post.
“How much of a coward do you have to be to use fake pics to defame me and @realDonaldTrump and then not apologize yourself?
“Issue a retraction in writing and on air or else you’re getting sued.”
CNN and the corporate media have sought to fabricate a close relationship between Trump and Loomer.
Loomer, a controversial figure, recently came under fire for disparaging comments about Democrat presidential nominee Kamala Harris that played on Indian stereotypes.
The comments led to a backlash from Republicans.
“If Kamala Harris wins, the White House will smell like curry & White House speeches will be facilitated via a call center and the American people will only be able to convey their feedback through a customer satisfaction survey at the end of the call that nobody will understand,” Loomer wrote in a post on X.
Another Trump ally, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), called Loomer’s remarks “extremely racist.”
Others likened Loomer to a Democrat saboteur sent to sabotage Trump’s re-election effort.
Trump came under fire this month over Loomer’s alleged closeness to his campaign.
It prompted Trump to dismiss rumors that she works for him.
“Laura Loomer doesn’t work for the Campaign,” Trump wrote.
“She’s a private citizen and longtime supporter.
“I disagree with the statements she made but, like the many millions of people who support me, she is tired of watching the Radical Left Marxists and Fascists violently attack and smear me, even to the point of doing anything to stop their Political Opponent, ME!”
Of course, it isn’t news to many that CNN doesn’t bother to do basic “fact checking” when they’re busy attacking Trump.
Is it any wonder that Americans no longer trust the mainstream media?
