A 30-year-old police officer has tragically died suddenly after suffering a heart attack while working out in the gym.
The shocking incident was captured by the security camera at the gym in Hyderabad, India.
The video shows the young, healthy officer, Y Vishal, performing a series of stretches after completing a set of pushups.
However, Vishal can be seen grasping at his chest before he unexpectedly keels over.
He tries to grab onto the exercise equipment before falling onto the ground.
Vishal’s family members were alerted about his collapse when they received a phone call from the gym about the collapse, according to the Times of India.
The gym’s staff immediately rushed him to a private hospital where the doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Quoting doctors, police said Vishal passed away due to a massive cardiac arrest.
“He died of a heart attack,” Marredpally inspector Ch Netaji told the Times.
Netaji told the outlet that the heart attack was likely due to “high blood pressure.”
Vishal was in service only for two years after joining the force in late 2020.
Family members said Vishal used to work out frequently at the gym.
They said Vishal went to the gym after completing his shift on Thursday.
He left the police station at 8 am.
The Times of India said that the incident has “added to the growing list of young men dying while gymming.”
