Damar Hamlin Breaks Silence with Heartwarming Statement: ‘I’m Thankful for Every Single Person That Prayed for Me’

Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin has broken his silence with a heartwarming statement as he recovered from a near-fatal cardiac arrest.

He thanked all those who prayed for him and said the bright side of his ordeal was bringing the world back together.

Hamlin collapsed on the field during the Monday night football game and received CPR on the field for nine minutes.

He said: “When you put real love out into the world it comes back to you 3x’s as much.

“The love has been overwhelming but I’m thankful for every single person that prayed for me and reached out.

“We brung the world back together behind this.

“If you know me you know this only gonna make me stronger.

“On a long road keep praying for me.”

In his last Instagram post before the injury, Hamlin showed his charitable side:

“Our 3rd annual @chasingMs foundation toy drive hosted by @d.ham3 was a success!

“Thank you to everyone who came out.

“We hope you all are enjoying your holidays. – TheChasingMillionsFamily”

The Bills also gave an update on his condition today:

“Damar is making continued progress in his recovery yet remains in critical condition and his neurologic function is excellent.”

Bills offensive tackle Dion Dawkins said of the team’s Friday video call with Hamlin:

“To hear him talk to us, it was everything, and that’s what we needed.

“Literally that’s all we needed.

“The excitement was beautiful, it was amazing.

“It has given us so much energy, so much bright, high spirits – whatever you want to call it – it has given it to us to see that boy’s face.”
