Video footage of Republican Sen. Rand Paul’s (R-KY) staffer being stabbed in broad daylight in Washington, D.C. has been released.
The Washington Post published footage of the staffer, Phillip Todd, being attacked by Glynn Neal.
Neal, who has a long rap sheet filled with serious crimes, had just been released from federal prison before stabbing Todd in March.
In the video below the suspect can be seen charging Todd for no apparent reason and stabbing him while a voice screams, “What the f*ck?!”
ABC reporter Allison Pecorin said at the time of the attack: “Sen. Rand Paul confirms in a statement that a member of his staff was ‘brutally attacked in broad daylight’ in DC this weekend.
“According to police reports obtained by ABC News, the staffer was stabbed with a knife multiple times on the 1300 block of H St. NE.”
Sen. Paul said: “This past weekend a member of my staff was brutally attacked in broad daylight in Washington, D.C.
“I ask you to join Kelley and me in praying for a speedy and complete recovery and thanking the first responders, hospital staff, and police for their diligent actions.
“We are relieved to hear the suspect has been arrested.
“At this time we would ask for privacy so everyone can focus on healing and recovery.”
