Democrats are preparing for President Donald Trump’s triumphant return to Twitter this Friday when Elon Musk closes his deal to buy the company.
The financing is in place, the judge gave the two sides a Friday deadline and Twitter employees are throwing public temper tantrums.
So the deal will close.
Some on the Left seem happy Trump will be back and promise to “resist” while others threaten to leave the platform.
Star Trek’s George Takei said: “If Elon lets the orange one back on this site, I stand ready to do battle.
“Who’s with me? Follow me for more resistance tips.”

Former GOP ad guy Rick Wilson readied the liberals he dupes for large sums of money with: “So y’all know Trump is gonna be back here on Friday, right?
“Gird your loins accordingly.”

One of his followers said: “They’re letting the Pouty Saudi back on?
“F*ck it would be really unfortunate if someone like you provoked him into saying something really unhinged and insane the week before the election. Be careful Rick.”
But another said they would leave the site when Trump returns:
“If the sale goes through, I’m quitting Twitter (been in here since it’s inception) and will pray for its implosion.
“Sorry to you and your following! (But I hope everyone, including you, quits Twitter…giving sole ownership of a platform like this to a neo-fascist is poison).”
John Scott-Railton even offered the Left some tips to try to beat Trump at his own game by not amplifying him.
But they won’t be able to resist the social media sugar high they can only get by trashing Trump.
He said:
“The Musk @Twitter acquisition is moving along. Trump may return.
“When DJT got the boot, he lost his best tool to capture the conversation and spread lies & hate.
“Now, I’m worried we’re going to *play ourselves* all over again.
“Some thoughts: Trump said outrageous things that people felt compelled to react to & disagree with.
“Quote Tweets & Replies were the accelerant to this rage cycle.
“The more people reacted, the more others saw it. Friend, *we amplified him*
“Twitter was a casino of likes & engagement for negative reactions to Trump’s tweets.
“Whole followings were built from this. Which conditioned many us to do more of it. Result: more amplification of Trump’s message.
“Sure media could not resist the traffic that coverage of Trump generated. So they made him ubiquitous.
“And it was very bad. Truth.
“But we have to be introspective about the ways *we got rewarded* for doing our own versions of the same thing.
“My personal plan if Trump returns to Twitter: Never Quote Tweet or reply to Trump. Minimize engagement with Tweets that do.
“When Trump trends, promote a better policy / thing.
“Hold myself accountable for not rage-amplifying him.”
Despite the concerns from the Left, Trump may not return to Twitter, even if the ban is lifted.
He owns Truth Social and may stay exclusive to that.
