DOJ Called On to ‘Investigate & Prosecute’ Americans Who Question Child Sex-Change Surgeries Online

Democrat President Joe Biden’s Department of Justice (DOJ) has been called on to “investigate and prosecute” Americans who question child sex-change surgeries and transgender treatments online.

On Monday, three major American medical institutions wrote a letter to the Biden administration demanding a crackdown on those who call out the life-altering gender procedures for children.

The letter, which was sent to U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland, was signed by the American Medical Association, American Academy of Pediatrics, and Children’s Hospital Association.

The groups also call on Big Tech to censor and deplatform individuals who question the orthodoxy of putting children through radical transgender treatments.

Referred to by the “woke” Left as “gender-affirming health care,” the “treatments” often involve surgically removing or altering a child’s genitals.

In the letter, the groups urge the Biden administration to “investigate the organizations, individuals, and entities” that it claimed were “coordinating” and “provoking” outrage online directed at those providing the controversial services.

A copy of the letter was obtained and published by the Manhattan Institute’s Christopher Rufo.

“From Boston to Akron to Nashville to Seattle, children’s hospitals, academic health systems, and physicians are being targeted and threatened for providing evidence-based health care,” the letter claims.

“These attacks have not only made it difficult and dangerous for institutions and practices to provide this care, they have also disrupted many other services to families seeking care.”

The letter claims, without evidence, that medical personnel have faced “increased threats via social media” and that there was “elevated and justifiable fear among families, patients, and staff.”

“These coordinated attacks threaten federally protected rights to health care for patients and their families.

“The attacks are rooted in an intentional campaign of disinformation, where a few high-profile users on social media share false and misleading information targeting individual physicians and hospitals, resulting in a rapid escalation of threats, harassment, and disruption of care across multiple jurisdictions,” the letter continues.

“Our organizations have called on technology companies to do more to prevent this practice on digital platforms, and we now urge your office to take swift action to investigate and prosecute all organizations, individuals, and entities responsible.”

The letter alleges that the “hospitals, staff, and their communities” have been “shaken” by the backlash that has been generated as a result of them being put under the microscope.

“Providers of evidence-based gender-affirming health care and their colleagues are facing increased stress and fear on top of the conditions they have faced while working on the frontlines of a global pandemic for nearly three years,” the letter said.

“Families seeking care at these institutions as well as those providing their care fear for their personal safety in the wake of these attacks.”
