President Donald Trump has fired back at Jim Acosta after the CNN host and others in the media claimed he was “livid” and “screaming at everyone” over the midterm elections results.
Trump blasted the claims as a “fake news narrative” and stated that it is “the opposite” of what really happened.
Acosta’s claims, from an anonymous source, were picked up by several corporate media outlets that repeated the allegations as fact.
“’Trump is livid’ and ‘screaming at everyone’ after last night’s disappointing midterm results for GOP, according to a Trump adviser,” Acosta said on Twitter.
“The adviser went on to slam the former president’s handpicked contenders: ‘they were all bad candidates. Candidates matter,’ the adviser said.”
“This adviser said it’s unlikely Trump would delay his expected presidential announcement because ‘it’s too humiliating to delay.’
“But the adviser said there are too many unknowns at this point.”

Trump addressed the story today during an interview with Fox News Digital.
The 45th president disputed the reports claiming he was furious with the results.
It should be noted Republicans may still accomplish their goal of taking the Senate and the House.
Trump also responded to some of his advisers who urged him to postpone his 2024 announcement until after the Georgia runoff if that race will decide the Senate.
Trump said:
“There is a fake news narrative that I was furious — it is just the opposite.
“The people I endorsed did very well.
“I was batting 98.6% in the primaries, and 216 to 19 in the general election — that is amazing.
“All these guys that are winning are my people.
“I really think we had great candidates that performed very well,” Trump said.
“Marco [Sen. Rubio (R-FL)] performed very well — I held a rally for him on Sunday.”
“JD Vance performed very well.
“[Sen. Ron] Johnson won.
“Oz worked very hard, but there were forces against him.
“Oz is a great guy,” he added.
“He had a lot of immovable forces against him.
“Herschel is a great guy.
“He is in a runoff with a U.S. senator,” Trump said.
When asked if he would postpone his announcement he said:
“We had tremendous success.
“Why would anything change.”
