Twitter CEO Elon Musk has sided with Republican Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) and is calling for Dr. Anthony Fauci to stand trial.
Fauci, the former director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) and Democrat President Joe Biden’s former chief medical advisor, has come under mounting scrutiny over the actions during and after the pandemic.
As Slay News previously reported, Musk’s latest release of the “Twitter Files” proves Fauci lied under oath about his use of social media during congressional testimony.
The news comes as Fauci is already accused of conducting dangerous gain-of-function research in China and then covering up his actions to prevent investigators from linking the experiments to the origins of Covid.
Senator Paul went on Fox News and demanded that Fauci be held accountable: “I think Fauci deserves culpability and history is going to judge him very poorly because he made the judgment to fund this research.
“It’s dangerous research,” Paul, a former physician, explained.
“He doesn’t want to call it gain-of-function, but most other scientists do call it gain-of-function, in Wuhan, in an opaque totalitarian country.
“And in the end, there was a leak from the lab and millions of people died worldwide.”
Paul also said he thinks Fauci was untruthful during his testimony before Congress.
“It’s a felony punishable by five years in jail if someone is actually charged with lying under oath,” he warned.

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) said earlier that the GOP could criminally refer Fauci to the Justice Department.
However, Jordan said he doesn’t think anything will come of it because Biden’s Attorney General Merrick Garland would not pursue it.
“Yeah, we can do — there could be a referral, but you would refer to the Biden Justice Department,” Jordan said.
“I don’t know that they’re going to pursue that, but you can definitely do that.
“You could have to have one of the committees, the Senate Judiciary Committee could do a referral.
“I doubt they will with the Democrats in charge.
“I would, frankly, prefer just to have Dr. Fauci come back in and take another round of questions here, but we’re building the case.
“You know, like, we had Dr. Redfield testify, Chairman Wenstrup did. I thought he was — I thought he was great.
“As were the other witnesses that were brought in.”
