Twitter’s new anti-woke boss Elon Musk has called for an investigation into the funding of Democrat activist groups that “want to control your access to information.”
Musk was responding after several leftist organizations wrote a letter to large companies asking them to boycott Twitter if Musk changes the content moderation policies when he takes control.
Musk has promised that he plans to stamp out censorship on the platform and restore free speech for all users.
The brands getting the letter included Coca-Cola (CCEP), Disney (DIS), and Kraft (KHC).
The Democratic Party operative groups signing the letter include Media Matters, Black Lives Matter Global Foundation, and Accountable Tech.
Musk said in response to CNN reporting on the letter: “Who funds these organizations that want to control your access to information?
“Let’s investigate. Sunlight is the best disinfectant.”

Musk also put Apple on notice:
“Apple’s store is like having a 30% tax on the Internet.
“Definitely not ok.
“Literally 10 times higher than it should be.”

The groups sent the letter to Twitter’s largest advertisers and pressured them to boycott the platform by claiming they are associating with “hate” and “extremism” now that Musk has taken over.
“As top advertisers on Twitter (TWTR), your brand risks association with a platform amplifying hate, extremism, health misinformation, and conspiracy theorists,” the letter said.
“Your ad dollars can either fund Musk’s vanity project or hold him to account.”
Angelo Carusone, CEO of Media Matters for America, said:
“If Elon Musk comes in and gets rid of all the brand safety protections, I think Coca-Cola should be able to cancel their contract.
“It would be very revealing if Twitter refuses to or does not sign or does not give those cancellation options.”
