Elon Musk Fires Twitter Execs Who Banned Trump and Censored Hunter Biden Story

Elon Musk fired several top executives from Twitter on Thursday night after taking control of the company, according to multiple media reports.

As Slay News reported earlier, Musk fired a number of top execs almost immediately after closing the deal to buy the company.

CEO Parag Agrawal, COO Ned Segal, legal and policy head Vijaya Gadde, Chief customer officer Sarah Personette, and general counsel Sean Edgett were all shown the door yesterday.

At least one of the newly unemployed executives was escorted from the building by security.

The execs include those responsible for permanently banning President Donald Trump and censoring the Hunter Biden laptop story among other anti-free speech moves.

Vijaya Gadde was known as the “censorship chief” and played a key role in banning Trump and censoring the Hunter laptop story.

Musk put Gadde on notice earlier for censoring Hunter Biden’s laptop.

“Suspending the Twitter account of a major news organization for publishing a truthful story was obviously incredibly inappropriate,” he wrote.

Earlier on Thursday, Musk confirmed his buyout deal was complete by tweeting a letter to advertisers.

The new Twitter owner says he wants the social media giant to become a “digital town square…obviously cannot become a free-for-all hellscape, where anything can be said with no consequences.”

“The reason I acquired Twitter is because it is important to the future of civilization to have a common digital town square, where a wide range of beliefs can be debated in a healthy manner, without resorting to violence,” he explained.

“In addition to adhering to the laws of the land, our platform must be warm and welcoming to all, where you can choose your desired experience according to your preferences.

“Fundamentally, Twitter aspires to be the most respected advertising platform in the world that strengthens your brand and grows your enterprise.

“Let us build something extraordinary together.

“For this to be true, it is essential to show Twitter users advertising that is as relevant as possible to their needs.

“Low relevancy ads are spam, but highly relevant ads are actually content!”

According to The Daily Mail:

One Twitter employee explained in an anonymous essay for Business Insider, those who remain at the company are worried about the Tesla CEO’s volatility.

‘I don’t think my colleagues and I have a good model for how volatile he is — and I can see that rocking the boat, especially if he makes more comments that make people say, ‘What the hell?” the anonymous Twitter employee wrote.

‘There are also people here who are just unfazed by his volatility,’ they continued.

They’re not going to react in any way.’

The employee noted that their fellow workers’ views of their new boss will all be contingent on how many people he lays off.

‘People are asking, if heads are going to roll, whose good graces do you need to be in to stay?’ the employee wrote, adding: ‘Most people think layoffs are going to be pretty immediate.’
