Tesla CEO Elon Musk has overruled Democrat President Joe Biden and called on the United States to increase domestic oil and gas output in response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
Musk acknowledged that his calls would see his electric car company, Tesla, would take a hit from boosting fossil fuel output.
“Hate to say it, but we need to increase oil & gas output immediately,” Musk said.
“Extraordinary times demand extraordinary measures.
“Obviously, this would negatively affect Tesla, but sustainable energy solutions simply cannot react instantaneously to make up for Russian oil & gas exports.
