Elon Musk has dropped the hammer on Kathy Griffin and permanently suspended the Hollywood leftist from Twitter.
As Slay News reported earlier, Griffin had her account restricted for impersonating Musk.
Griffin edited her “blue check” Twitter account to impersonate Musk by using his name and profile image and then posted several tweets encouraging people to vote for Democrats in the midterms.
The incident caused Musk to issue a statement warning that the account will be “permanently suspended” for impersonating other accounts, which was already a violation of Twitter’s terms of service (TOS).
“Going forward, any Twitter handles engaging in impersonation without clearly specifying ‘parody’ will be permanently suspended,” Musk said.
“Previously, we issued a warning before suspension, but now that we are rolling out widespread verification, there will be no warning.
“This will be clearly identified as a condition for signing up to Twitter Blue.
“Any name change at all will cause temporary loss of verified checkmark.”

Griffin did not follow the rules and Musk banned her.

With her 2M followers and “blue check” verification badge, Griffin was able to fool users, at a glance, by changing her profile name and image to mimic Musk.
While posing as Musk, Griffin posted several election meddling tweets, including:

“I must admit, when the Republicans come for our birth control, I’m going to have more kids than even I can handle! So for my daughters and girlfriends. #VoteBlueToProtectWomen”
“This Beto guys is pretty cool, after all. Greg Abbott does not want to legalize cannabis. Beto likes weed! #voteblue”
“Hey complainers and activists. Want to see real activism? Watch this. RT w #VoteBlue”
Before the suspension, her account was restricted with a label that said:
“Caution: This account is temporarily restricted.
“You’re seeing this warning because there has been some unusual activity from this account.”
