Tech entrepreneur Elon Musk has revealed that he plans to visit Eagle Pass, Texas to assess the “severe” crisis of illegal crossings at the Southern Border.
In a post on Twitter/X, Musk said he will visit the Maverick County border city “later this week.”
Musk said he wants to witness the crisis for himself after speaking with Republican Rep. Tony Gonzales (R-TX) and confirming the record number of illegal crossings happening at the border.
“I spoke with Rep Tony Gonzales tonight – he confirmed that it is a serious issue,” Musk wrote in the early hours of Tuesday.
“They are being overwhelmed by unprecedented numbers – just hit an all-time high and still growing!

On Monday, Gonzales was joined at the border by several Republican lawmakers.
Representatives Jodey Arrington, August Pfluger, Ronny Jackson, Nathaniel Moran, and Brandon Williams met with Gonzales to assess the crisis.
Gonzales’ office reported that there are currently 5,000 migrants in a Border Patrol holding facility.
The facility has a maximum capacity of 1,000 people.
“Now more than ever, Congress needs to pass a strong budget that puts a stop to Biden’s open-borders agenda,” Gonzales said.
“This should not be a partisan issue.
“My message is clear – end catch and release, stop using asylum as a hall pass, and put our Border Patrol Agents back on the frontlines.”
According to Gonzales, tens of thousands of migrants are still heading toward the United States.
“Processing capacity is at four times its max and local resources are being depleted,” he said Friday.
Fox News recently shared a video showing hundreds of migrants, mostly adult males, on top of trains headed toward the border in Eagle Pass.

Thousands of illegal aliens are currently crossing the border every single day.
Last week, Eagle Pass Mayor Rolando Salinas, Jr. issued an emergency declaration “due to the severe undocumented immigrant surge” overwhelming the city’s resources.

Musk torched Democrat President Joe Biden for joining the United Auto Workers picket line in Michigan while failing to address the border crisis.
“Maybe he could also pop over to see our southern border at some point,” Musk remarked.
In another post on X, Musk warned that the situation at the border “is a severe crisis.”

As Slay News reported last week, Musk also slammed the “legacy media” for its lack of coverage.
“About 2 million people – from every country on Earth – are entering through the US southern border every year,” he said.
“The number is rising rapidly, yet no preventive action is taken by the current administration.”
The Biden administration recently announced plans to send 800 military members to the southern border.
However, the troops will be tasked with helping Border Patrol agents process migrants as they enter the United States illegally.
The troops will not be aiding in law enforcement efforts to curb the crisis.
