As Elon Musk’s deal to buy Twitter nears completion, his plans for the social media platform have leaked to the media, dealing a major blow to the company’s “woke” workforce.
The Tesla CEO’s deal to buy Twitter is on track and is due to close before the end of October.
Musk has always stated that he plans to transform the company after buying it.
His biggest ambition has always been to end the company’s censorship practices and restore free speech to the platform.
However, Musk has pointed out that the company is bloated and it needs to shed some of the excess workers.
Now it has emerged that Musk intends to cut 75 percent of Twitter’s workforce in a major purge.
According to The Washington Post, Musk told investors in his deal to buy Twitter that he planned to get rid of nearly 75% of the social media company’s 7,500 workers leaving around 2,000.
Twitter also had plans to gut the company and fire 25% of the staff in the event Musk’s deal did not go through.
In a country that depends on free speech, being the censor is a risky career move.

According to The Washington Post
“Twitter’s workforce is likely to be hit with massive cuts in the coming months, no matter who owns the company, interviews and documents obtained by The Washington Post show, a change likely to have major impact on its ability to control harmful content and prevent data security crises.
“Elon Musk told prospective investors in his deal to buy the company that he planned to get rid of nearly 75 percent of Twitter’s 7,500 workers, whittling the company down to a skeleton staff of just over 2,000.”
The Post continues by trying to frame the plan as a negative, claiming “it will have an impact on its ability to control harmful content.”
Meanwhile, rapper Kanye West has said that Democrat President Joe Biden could learn something from taking meetings with Elon Musk.
According to The New York Post:
Kanye West called President Biden “f–cking retarded” on Wednesday while blasting the commander-in-chief for not taking advice from Elon Musk.
The rapper made the remark in an interview with Piers Morgan while claiming he can use the crude term because he has “mental health issues.”
“The President of the United States does not have meetings with Elon Musk. That is f–king — Hey, here, come, come get me — That’s f–king retarded. I know I’m not supposed to say that Biden, but that’s fucking retarded, Biden,” West said.
He also spoke about the need for the “1 percent” to come together to achieve world peace. To prove his point, West used the “obvious” example of the President not “listening” to the Tesla founder.
