Former Fox News star Eric Bolling got a huge promotion at Newsmax and is moving his show to primetime.
Bolling was named host of the 8 p.m. primetime hour and he issued a tongue-in-cheek challenge to Tucker Carlson in his announcement.
Bolling said: “This show is moving to a brand new time slot, starting Tuesday. You can get your daily dose of common sense and knowledge with a healthy dose of stark.
“Anderson Cooper, lookout. Coming after you. Chris Hayes, coming after you. Tucker, coming after you, pal. Got you in our sights.” His previous show aired at 4 p.m.

Newsmax also hired former Fox News anchor Greta Van Susteren. She will join the network as host of “The Record with Greta Van Susteren.” The nightly show will be based in Washington, D.C., and will premiere on Tuesday, June 14.
Van Susteren said: “With all that is going on in the world, I am getting back to my roots — a daily live news show with real reporting from the places where things are happening.
“I have been friends with Chris Ruddy for years, and he is giving me this great opportunity to return, giving me the complete freedom to cover the news that really matters to people.
“I have been impressed by Newsmax’s team and their success, and would love to be part of a news network that is really growing.”
Newsmax Media CEO Chris Ruddy said:
“No one in journalism better exemplifies Newsmax’s mission to provide fact-based news and fact-based opinion than Greta Van Susteren.
“We are so pleased and honored to have Greta lead our nightly news lineup of programs.”
