Former Democrat Rep. Tulsi Gabbard has slammed attempts by President Joe Biden to weaponize federal agencies against his political rivals.
Gabbard, a former Democrat presidential candidate, slammed Biden and the Democratic Party for their “political prosecution” of President Donald Trump.
According to Gabbard, the Democrats are persecuting Trump in the hope they will derail his 2024 campaign.
In a statement on Twitter/X, Gabbard said:
“The political prosecution of Trump is an obvious attempt by Biden/Dem elite to drain Trump’s attention and resources.
“Their actions expose their utter contempt for democracy and the rule of law—and makes laughable all of their verbiage about ‘protecting democracies around the world.’
“Anyone who’s looking at what’s happening with clear eyes and an open mind can recognize how overtly they’re trying to keep President Trump off of the campaign trail.
“To keep him away from being able to make his case to voters in this country why they should elect him as president and commander in chief once again.
“They’re afraid that he actually could win.
“Which is why they’re committing such an egregious abuse of power that cuts so much deeper than just going after President Trump.
“Because what they’re really doing is setting the precedent that puts the United States of America not on a high platform of trying to be an example of democracy to the world.
“But of reducing our great country to none other than a banana republic and an abuse of power that we see happening in other countries around the world.”

The comments from Gabbard come as her nemesis Hillary Clinton has claimed that “the Russians” are planning to make sure President Joe Biden doesn’t win re-election in 2024.
According to the twice-failed presidential candidate, Russian President Vladimir Putin is planning to interfere in our elections “again.”
As Slay News reported earlier, Clinton claims that Putin wants to help President Trump win the 2024 election while suggesting that “the Russians” swayed the 2016 race.
Conveniently, Hillary made the claims amid Joe Biden’s latest disastrous poll numbers.
A new Washington Post-ABC poll shows Trump crushing Biden 51-42 in a hypothetical matchup.
Biden’s job approval rating is 19 points underwater and his ratings for handling the economy and immigration are at career lows.
A record number of Americans say they’ve become worse off under his presidency.
Three-quarters say Biden’s too old for another term and Trump is looking better in retrospect.
Forty-four percent of Americans in the latest ABC News/Washington Post poll say they’ve gotten worse off financially under Biden’s presidency, the most for any president in ABC/Post polls since 1986.
Just 37% approve of his job performance, while 56% disapprove.
Still fewer approve of Biden’s performance on the economy, 30%.
After seeing Biden’s horrible numbers, a clear majority of Democrats want him off the ticket.
However, according to Hillary Clinton, Trump can only beat Biden if the Russians help him win “again.”
