A father has been violently dragged from a New York school board meeting for not wearing a mask, according to reports.
Video footage of the shocking incident shows the school’s security forcibly removing the man who was sitting quietly at the meeting in Webster, NY on Tuesday evening.
The video, filmed and uploaded to social media by another stunned parent, shows the security walk up and aggressively challenge the peaceful man.
While it’s unclear what the guard says to the man, he makes hand gestures regarding face masks before violently grabbing the seated father’s chair.
He then drags him backward and proceeds to grab the man by the back of the jacket until the jacket is completely off the man.
The man then turns around and faces the security guard as the room looks on in disbelief.
“What are you doing?! What are you doing?!” the woman taping the video is heard yelling.
“Holy crap. Holy crap.”
Another mother is heard saying to the security guard, “Do you put your hands on our children, too?”
The security guard then points to the door and crowds the man as he tries to sit back in his seat.
While the man is sitting, the security guard forcefully grabs the chair with one hand under the seat and the other on the back of the chair and continues to push forward until the chair is sufficiently tipped for the man to be tipped out, though he does land on his feet.
Then two security guards, including the man who tipped the man out of the chair, push the man out of a back door as the man tries to resist his exit.
“What are you doing?” and “Do you do that to the kids?” people are heard yelling as the guard rough-up the father.
A police officer is seen calmly walking out the door to where the man has been physically removed.
In a video posted to a Facebook group called “ROC for Educational Freedom Public Page,” a woman who attended the school board meeting claimed that the man had to seek medical attention for non-urgent care following the incident.
She also explained that the maskless man was approached by the security guard while a student was in front speaking.
The school board, she said, always brings up children who “love the school” and “love the superintendent” to speak when there is a hot issue parents want to voice concern over.
She added that the kids who speak are clearly “hand-selected” by the board.
