Florida Sheriff: Rapper Boasted about Killing in Song but Cried ‘Like a Baby’ When Charged with Murder

A Florida sheriff has humiliated a murderer who boasted about killing another rapper in a rap song.

A criminal who fancied himself a rapper included lyrics about killing another rapper in a song, according to Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd.

Sheriff Judd made the comments during a press conference where he announced he had charged the man with murder.

Judd outlined the details of the arrest of 19-year-old La’Darion Chandler in a media briefing Thursday.

“He’s not much of a rapper,” said Judd.

“But he’s a stupid rapper.”

Judd said that a 33-year-old man had been shot in the back on December 17 on Pirates Way within the Secret Cove subdivision in Lakeland, a city in central Florida.

The man, identified as John McGee was transported to a hospital in stable but critical condition.

However, McGee died from his injuries weeks later.

McGee had been released from prison after four years on October 8.

He was a known gang member and was nicknamed “Bang Bang,” according to the sheriff.

Judd said that McGee refused to take the medicine provided to him by the hospital.

He also refused to cooperate with the police investigation before he died.

Investigators tried to interview people about the murder, but many witnesses refused to speak to them, Judd said.

Eventually, enough people began to make statements to the police that they identified a suspect.

Chandler, who had a lengthy criminal history already, had been in jail over a separate incident when police investigated him as a suspect.

Detectives reviewed a rap song that Chandler had published.

In the song, they found lyrics that appeared to reference the murder of the 33-year-old victim:

N***a tried to run

I hit his back

Though I shoot like a mac

Dirt ass dead n***as knowing where to find me at

The sheriff’s office published a clip from the rap song with the lyrics Judd said referred to the shooting death.

“C’mon man!” Judd exclaimed.

“You shoot someone else in the back?

“What kind of coward is that?”

The sheriff revealed that the rapper didn’t live up to the tough guy image he portrayed in the streets.

He was “crying like a baby that lost his pacifier” when he was charged with first-degree murder, Judd revealed.

Chandler was charged with first-degree murder, convicted delinquent in possession of a firearm, and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

He’s being held without bond.

Judd said his police rap expert told him that Chandler’s music was among the worst he had ever heard.

Police have not been able to locate the murder weapon.

Judd said that they are offering $5,000 as an award to anyone who helps them recover the weapon.

Judd has become a popular personality over the colorful and humous language he uses at his media briefings.
