Food Crisis Is ‘Manufactured’ by ‘Elite,’ Dutch Lawmaker Warns

A top Dutch lawmaker has issued a warning that the global food shortage crisis has been “manufactured” by the “elite” as part of an effort to confiscate land from farmers.

Thierry Baudet, leader of the Forum for Democracy political party, says the green policies being protested by farmers are part of the Netherlands’ commitment to the World Economic Forum’s agenda.

He says that the green policies implemented by Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte are not meant to save the environment but to force farmers into selling their land.

“They want to make us more dependent on international supply chains,” Baudet told Roman Balmakov of Epoch Times.

“They want to weaken Dutch sovereignty and autonomy.

“And also, they want to continue mass immigration into the Netherlands.

“And if you’re going to bring more people into the Netherlands — into a very small and dense country — you’re going to need to take the land from the farmers and put houses there.

“That’s the agenda. To turn the Netherlands into a giant city.”

Baudet has also claimed that left-wing politicians were exploiting the COVID pandemic to force through globalist polices.

“The goal of the Corona policy is not the protection of public health…” Baudet said last year.

“It all serves a completely different agenda, an agenda that is indicated with terms like The Great Reset and Build Back Better, an agenda that is rolled out globally and seems to have the whole world in its grip.”

Legal Philosopher Eva Vlaardingerbroek has also stated that the policies being pushed by Rutte’s government aren’t about protecting the climate but a more sinister agenda.

Speaking to Fox News’s Tucker Carlson, Vlaardingerbroek said, “What this is about is the Dutch government stealing our farmers’ land, and they’re doing this under the guise of a made-up nitrogen crisis that’s basically going to put most of these farmers completely out of business…

“They’re doing this because they want these farmers’ land, and they want it to house new immigrants.”

“They also want it because the farmers are also standing in their way of the Great Reset plans that they have for us.

“Farmers are hardworking, God-fearing, and especially self-sufficient people that are just standing in the way of their globalist agenda.”

Rutte denies allegiance to the World Economic Forum’s agenda, despite sending WEF founder and Chairman Klaus Schwab a thank you letter for his book The Great Reset.

In the letter, he calls the book’s contents a “hopeful analysis for a better future.”
