Fox News has accused its former star anchor Tucker Carlson of breaching his contract with the network after he re-launched his show on Twitter this week.
Episode One of Carlson’s new show has been an unprecedented smash hit, scoring over 80 million views in under 24 hours for his 10-minute Twitter video.
The letter says: “This evening we were made aware of Mr. Tucker Carlson’s appearance on Twitter in a video that lasted over 10 minutes.
“In connection with such breach and pursuant to the Agreement, Fox expressly reserves all rights and remedies which are available to it at law or equity.”
“Carlson was told by a senior Fox executive that the network’s goal is to keep him sidelined until 2025.”

Carlson’s lawyers told Axios, the media outlet that broke the story:
“Fox defends its very existence on freedom of speech grounds.
“Now they want to take Tucker Carlson’s right to speak freely away from him because he took to social media to share his thoughts on current events.”
Glenn Greenwald said:
“This is pathetic of Fox.
“They fired Carlson, and now their position is: he’s not allowed to speak.
“He didn’t go to a competing network.
“He has no contract with Twitter.
“He’s just speaking on social media.
“And to Fox, that’s cause to threaten to sue him.
“They want him quiet.”
