The recently-imploded cryptocurrency exchange FTX funded the phony research that claimed Ivermectin and Hydroxychloroquine were ineffective when used to treat COVID-19.
New details are continuing to emerge that reveal how far-reaching the influence of FTX and its CEO and founder Sam Bankman-Fried was in the United States and beyond.
As Slay News has reported, FTX and its executives were political megadonors in recent years.
Bankman-Fried plowed millions of dollars into Democrat President Joe Biden’s campaign and Democratic Party groups during the 2020 elections.
Now it has emerged that FTX funded the research that was used by politicians and the corporate media to debunk suggestions that Ivermectin and Hydroxychloroquine could be used as a cheap and effective treatment against Covid.
While pharmaceutical companies scrambled to get their Covid vaccines rolled out to the public, some health professionals argued that the readily available antiviral drugs could be used to treat patients who would otherwise die.
However, the drugs were banned from being used to treat dying patients.
FTX plowed $18 million into the research behind a study on Ivermectin and Hydroxychloroquine that claimed these two products didn’t work against Covid.
The studies were “stopped early” for these two drugs due to “futility.”
On May 16, 2022, FTX released a news wire to boast about funding trials that concluded that Ivermectin, Hydroxychloroquine, and other similar antiviral drugs were ineffective against COVID-19.
The results of these studies hindered the use of these drugs that are inexpensive and have proved to be effective against Covid.
As Slay News reported, a study was published in September on the use of Ivermectin as prophylaxis for COVID-19.
The large study, led by renowned Brazilian research scientist Dr. Flavio A. Cadegiani, found that the drug lowers the chance of death in patients by up to 92%.
Researchers discovered that regular users of Ivermectin experienced a huge reduction in mortality compared to those who did not.
A similar study in Japan earlier this year also found that Ivermectin has an “antiviral effect” against Omicron and all other “mutant strains” of COVID-19.
During the pandemic, thousands of patients were left to die due to Ivermectin being banned as a treatment for Covid.
Earlier this month, Pfizer executives gloated that the company has made “multi-billion dollar” profits from its Covid vaccines.
Pfizer’s Chief Financial Officer David Denton celebrated the highly-profitable shots for cementing billions of dollars in annual revenue for many years to come.
Denton made the comments during an earnings call with investors, during which the top executive praised the company’s control over treating the virus.
The CFO asserted that the virus had become “somewhat like a flu… but more deadly.”
The news of Pfizer’s record-breaking came at the same time that the company increased the prices of its Covid vaccines by 10,000%.
