Days after Florida’s Republican Governor Ron DeSantis exposed the hypocrisy of the wealthy liberal elite by bringing the border crisis to their hometowns, California’s Democrat Gov. Gavin Newsom has fired back.
Following the Florida governor’s huge national victory, Newsom has challenged DeSantis to a debate on CNN.
“Hey @GovRonDeSantis, clearly you’re struggling, distracted, and busy playing politics with people’s lives,” Newsom said.
“Since you have only one overriding need — attention –let’s take this up & debate.
“I’ll bring my hair gel. You bring your hairspray.

DeSantis has not responded but did get the last laugh after the Martha’s Vineyard liberals shipped the migrants to Cape Cod within one day.
“He didn’t scramble to get his cabinet together when you had 43, 53 migrants die in some trailer in Texas because they were neglected by the federal government,” DeSantis said.
“You didn’t see him scrambled to get his Cabinet together when we had Americans that were victimized by criminal aliens that you had across the border.
“You didn’t see him scrambling to get his Cabinet together when we hit record fentanyl deaths, which that fentanyl is coming across his open border.
“It’s only when you have 50 illegal aliens end up in a very wealthy rich sanctuary enclave that he decides to scramble on this.
“And so instead of scrambling and worrying about a bunch of rich people, and having 50– and oh, by the way, they already bussed them out. They’re gone.
“They said we want everyone, no one’s illegal, and they’re gone within 48 hours,” he said.

Newsom also wants the DOJ to look into whether Ron DeSantis and Greg Abbott can be charged with kidnapping for sending migrants to other parts of the country.
In a letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland, Newsom wrote: “Like millions of Americans I have been horrified at the images of migrants being shipped on buses and planes across the country.
“Clearly transporting families, including children, across lines under false pretenses is morally reprehensible, but may also be illegal. Several of the individuals who were transported to Martha’s Vineyard have alleged that a recruiter induced them to accept the offer of travel based on false representations that they would be transported to Boston and would receive expedited access to work authorization.
“Accordingly, I strongly urge the US Department of Justice to open an investigation into possible criminal or civil violations based on this alleged fraudulent scheme.
“In particular, I urge DOJ to investigate whether the alleged fraudulent inducement would support charges of kidnapping under relevant state laws, which could serve as a predicate offense under the RICO laws.”
DeSantis said earlier:
“Biden would fly people in the middle of the night, dump them all across this country, there was no warning on any of this. They’re doing it and they’re farming people out all around.
“They are also doing things like — so, you know, we’ve had people right on the border helping working ways, they were dumped in San Antonio and these people have, you know, they’re basically just there, and a lot of them end up migrating to different parts.
“We take what’s happening at the southern border very seriously, unlike some, unlike the president of the United States who has refused to lift a finger to secure that border.
“We are not a sanctuary state. It’s better to be able to go to a sanctuary jurisdiction, and, yes, we will help facilitate that transport for you to be able to go to greener pastures.”
