A video of California’s Democrat Gov. Gavin Newsom playing basketball with children in Communist China is going viral for all the wrong reasons.
Video of the incident shows the
Democrat 2024 presidential candidate governor mowing down a young child during the game.
After plowing through the young child, Newsom then rolls around on the ground with the boy before pretending to spank him.
The video has led to widespread mockery along with more questions about why a governor is making a diplomatic trip to China while insisting that he isn’t running for president.
In the clip shared on Twitter/X, Newsom is seen dribbling and playing basketball with a group of Chinese students.
While running, he ran straight into one child and fell on top of the boy.
Newsom quickly reached over, grabbed the boy, and pulled him off, laughing and slapping the child’s backside in the process.
The situation came off as bizarre to most people, however.
Grabien founder Tom Elliott a video of the incident on Twitter/X and wrote:
“@GavinNewsom, second only to @BarackObama in his use of kids as foil for validating delusions of basketball grandeur.”

“There is no way he could possibly think that would be good optics.”

Newsom met with Chinese leader Xi Jinping in Beijing on Wednesday.
The governor said he met with the communist dictator for the purpose of “renewing our friendship and re-engaging (on) foundational and fundamental issues that will determine our collective faith in the future.”
This was part of a week-long trip that will also address the alleged threat of “climate change.”
After meeting with Xi, Newsom pledged that California will have a “long-term, stable, and strong” partnership with the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), as Slay News reported.
Newsom was criticized for meeting with CCP dictator Xi amid tense U.S.-China relations.
The meeting also reignited theories about whether Newsom is building himself up as a potential replacement for President Biden as the Democrat candidate for the 2024 election.
