Radical billionaire George Soros is using his wealth of influence to pressure secretaries of state and other elections officials to block President Donald Trump’s 2024 bid.
One of Soros’ far-left political groups, Free Speech For People, is pressuring officials to ban Trump from running for president in 2024 by enacting the disqualification clause of the 14th Amendment.
The organization is joining forces with the leftist group Mi Familia Vota, which targets Latinos with pro-Democrat propaganda.
Soros’ group argues that Trump’s campaign must be blocked by falsely claiming that the 45th president “incited a violent insurrection.”
On its website, Free Speech For People states that on Jan. 6, 2021, “former President Donald Trump incited a violent insurrection, attacking Congress and our nation’s Capitol, in an effort to overturn the results of the 2020 election.”
The post-Civil War clause in the 14th Amendment bars anyone from running for office who “engaged in insurrection” against the United States or gave “aid or comfort” to the nation’s enemies after taking the oath to protect the Constitution.
On Tuesday night, Trump announced he is running for the Republican nomination in 2024.
After the announcement, ABC reported that Soros and his groups “are already working behind the scenes to mount a national push to get elections officials to stop him from being on the ballot because of Jan. 6 – even as similar such efforts have failed against other Republicans.”
Soros is known for pouring billions of dollars into progressive causes over more than three decades.
The far-left Democrat donor has installed 75 “woke” district attorneys across the country.
Soros’ prosecutors push policies that favor criminals and reward crime.
His “woke” DAs have been blamed, in part, for the huge spike in violent crime recorded in America’s largest cities over the past few years.
Soros also funds drug legalization, euthanasia, open borders, globalism, Black Lives Matter, “defunding the police,” devaluing America’s currency, and globalist efforts that degrade America’s sovereignty.
As Slay News has reported, Soros was the Democratic Party’s largest donor in the recent midterm elections.
During this year’s election cycle alone, Soros pumped a staggering $128 million into Democrat candidates.
