A Georgia grand jury has indicted President Donald Trump, charging the 45th POTUS with felony racketeering and numerous conspiracy charges.
In addition to charging Trump, the grand jury returned an indictment on Monday of 18 other people as co-defendants.
The indictment mentions 30 unindicted “co-conspirators.”
“The indictment alleges that rather than abide by Georgia’s legal process for election challenges, the defendants engaged in a criminal racketeering enterprise to overturn Georgia’s presidential election result,” Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis said.
Trump’s legal team said, “the events that have unfolded today have been shocking and absurd, starting with the leak of a presumed and premature indictment before the witnesses had testified or the grand jurors had deliberated and ended with the District Attorney being unable to offer any explanation.”

161 acts of racketeering in furtherance of the Trump conspiracy to steal an election. Sounds nefarious. That is until you read the alleged illegal acts. Tweets, speeches, phone conversations. The claim effectively is: you’re not allowed to challenge official proclamations. pic.twitter.com/cvAxzw0lR6
