Greta Thunberg Turns on Biden: ‘It’s Strange That People Think of Joe Biden as a Leader’

Radical activist Greta Thunberg has turned on Joe Biden, saying it is “strange” that people think of the Democrat president as “a leader.”

“If you call him a leader,” Thunberg told the Washington Post when Biden’s name was mentioned as an example of world leaders.

”I mean, it’s strange that people think of Joe Biden as a leader for the climate when you see what his administration is doing.”

She added on social media: “We don’t prioritize the climate today.

“Our goal isn’t to lower emissions.

“Our goal is to find solutions that allow us to continue life today.

“Of course you can ask ‘Can’t we have both?’

“But the uncomfortable truth is that we’ve left it too late for that.”

Thunberg told Biden to “treat the climate crisis like a crisis” last spring but apparently, the president did not follow her advice.

She said:

“They have said themselves that this is an existential threat, and they’d better treat it accordingly, which they are not,” she said.

“They are just treating the climate crisis as if it were a political topic among other topics.”

She continued:

“The U.S. is actually expanding fossil fuel infrastructure.

“Why is the U.S. doing that?

“It should not fall on us activists and teenagers who just want to go to school to raise this awareness and to inform people that we are actually facing an emergency.

“Countless people are already bearing the brunt of the climate crisis,” adding that there needs to be more pressure on world leaders to make systemic changes and “prioritize the crisis.

“It’s all about the narrative.

“It’s all about, what are we actually trying to solve?

“Is it this emergency, or is it this emergency?”

From Fox News:

Thunberg’s criticism wasn’t limited to Biden. During her interview, she also took aim at the COP26 climate summit that took place last month.

“Well, in the final document, they succeeded in even watering down the blah, blah, blah,” she said.

“Which is very much an achievement, if you see it that way.

Of course it’s a step forward that, instead of coming back every five years, they’re doing it every year now.

But still, that doesn’t mean anything unless that actually leads to increased ambition and if they actually fulfill those ambitions.”
