Gun Ownership Soars to Record High as Biden Pushes Anti-Second Amendment Agenda: ‘Stunning Number’

As President Joe Biden and the Democrats continue to push their radical anti-Second Amendment agenda, the American people are responding by buying guns in their droves.

A recent NBC News national poll revealed that a majority of respondents, 52%, said there is a gun in their household.

The figure is up from previous years and a record number since the poll question’s inception in 1999.

Back in 2013, 42% of Americans said someone in their household owned a gun.

That number slowly climbed up to 46% in 2019.

“In the last ten years, we’ve grown [10 points] in gun ownership,” remarked Micah Roberts, from a Republican polling firm.

“That’s a very stunning number.”

Roberts co-conducted the poll with members of Democrat polling firm Hart Research.

“By and large, things don’t change that dramatically that quickly when it comes to something as fundamental as whether you own a gun,” he added.

In addition to the NBC poll, a new Harvard poll shows that six in ten voters believe owning a gun is necessary for protecting themselves from criminals.

Legal scholar Jonathan Turley highlighted both polls while contrasting the results with the push for more gun control measures from the Biden White House and the Democrats’ corporate media allies.

“The Harvard poll shows that six in ten voters believe owning a gun is to protect themselves,” Turley posted on X.

“Despite the strong anti-gun rights message from the White House and the media, the public seems to be moving significantly in the opposite direction.

“The United States (by household) is now a majority gun-owning nation according to these polls.

“That could present an interesting dynamic going into the election in 2024,” he argued.

“While many rights are viewed as fairly abstract, gun ownership can give voters a tangible investment worth hundreds or thousands of dollars.

“Many have more than one gun,” the law professor added.

“That gives them a real interest in a debate over limiting gun rights or banning weapons.”

President Joe Biden has made clear he’d like to ban assault weapons, and high-capacity magazines, and require background checks for all gun sales.

In March, Biden leveraged the carnage from a mass shooting at a Christian elementary school in Nashville to push more gun control measures and criticize Republicans.

“Those children should all be with us still,” Biden said before ripping into Republicans.

“I want you to know who isn’t doing it [supporting gun control], who isn’t helping, to put pressure on them.”

Earlier in March, Biden issued an executive order in an attempt to crack down on the gun industry, “moving the U.S. as close to universal background checks as possible without additional legislation.”
