Twice-failed Democrat presidential candidate Hillary Clinton has trashed the Democrats for losing the messaging war with Republicans.
Clinton claims that President Joe Biden and congressional Democrats have done a great job but are failing to inform voters of their “accomplishments.”
Hillary says this “disconnect” is the reason for the administration’s appalling polling.
“I do think handwringing is part of the Democratic DNA,” she told host Chuck Todd during an appearance on NBC’s “Meet the Press.”
“That seems to be in style whether we’re in or out of power.
“We’re in power, and there still is handwringing going on.
“We’ve got a good case to make if we get our focus in the right place.
“But there are a lot of good accomplishments to be putting up on the board.
“Democrats in office and out need to be doing a better job of making the case.
“I’m not quite sure what the disconnect is between the accomplishments of the administration, and this Congress, and the understanding of what’s been done, and the impact it will have on the American public, and some of the polling and the ongoing hand-wringing.
“We’ve got a great story to tell and we’ve got to do a better job of telling it.”
“I don’t think it helped. I think that is obviously the case,” Hillary said of the botched military withdrawal in Afghanistan
She then turned to the GOP and said:
“I would add that in Republican Party politics, you have an even greater disconnect.
“Unfortunately, most of that party has now gone to the extreme and are saying and doing things that have no basis in reality.
“So we’ve got a good case to make if we get our focus in the right place to do it,” Clinton said.
