Tom Cruise and ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ Nominated for 6 Oscars Including Best Picture

Hollywood star Tom Cruise got great news as his blockbuster sequel “Top Gun: Maverick” landed six Oscar nominations, including one for best picture.

“Top Gun: Maverick” showed Hollywood that non-woke films lead to big money at the box office.

The pro-America movie was a huge global hit, despite being banned in China for refusing to censor the film.

While Tom Cruise didn’t get a nomination for best actor, he will be in the running for an Oscar as a producer if the film wins best picture.

It is up against some tough competition like “Avatar: The Way of Water,” “The Banshees of Inisherin,” and Steven Speilberg’s semi-autobiographical film “The Fabelmans.”

On Tuesday, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced the nominations for the 95th Academy Awards ceremony, which will be held on March 12, 2023.
