Hollywood Stars Throw Tantrum When Rudy Giuliani Makes Surprise Appearance on Show, Storm off Set on Protest

Hollywood celebrities threw a temper tantrum and storm off a TV set when former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani made a surprise appearance on their show.

Two of the celebrity judges of The Masked Singer walked off in protest after Giuliani – an American hero who took down the Mafia as a prosecutor in the 1980s and turned NYC into a safe city as mayor – was unmasked as a contestant on the show.

According to Deadline, judges Ken Jeong and Robin Thicke bolted the stage as soon as they saw Giuliani.

Two of the other celebrity judges, Jenny McCarthy and Nicole Scherzinger, did not walk off in protest.

Instead, those brave women (what does that say about the two male celebrities?) went back and forth with President Donald Trump’s lawyer as per usual on the show.

The theme of the new season is The Good, The Bad, and The Cuddly.

Deadline reported that ‘while Jeong & Thicke exited (they eventually returned), Jenny McCarthy and Nicole Scherzinger remained onstage and bantered with Giuliani, a controversial figure for pressing what is widely derided as a baseless claim that the last presidential election was stolen from his client Donald Trump.”

From TMZ:

Rudy was the first contestant eliminated. TMZ has confirmed … as soon as the mask came off Rudy’s head, Robin Thicke and Ken Jeong blew their tops.

As Deadline first reported, the judges were pissed and walked off the stage in protest.

Donald Trump’s former attorney and advisor made jaws drop in the studio — which is not uncommon during ‘Masked’ reveals, but we’re told Robin and Ken’s response went beyond the common reaction.

Sarah Palin was also on the show. From EW:

Sarah Palin shocked audiences when she revealed herself to be Bear on The Masked Singer — and that’s exactly what she wanted. The politician said she did the show as a “walking middle finger to the haters.”

“It was all about the mask,” she told host Nick Cannon on the Masked Singer aftershow on Wednesday.

“I knew it would be so refreshing and so freeing and well, in a real respectful way, kind of a walking middle finger to the haters out there in the world where I could do whatever I wanted to do and not care what anybody said because they wouldn’t know until after the fact. So it all worked out.”

Palin, the former governor of Alaska and one-time VP hopeful, was eliminated on season 3’s March 11 episode after being revealed under the Bear costume. Her exit followed a rousing performance of Sir Mix-A-Lot’s “Baby Got Back.”
