When a half-naked home intruder burst into the Pennsylvania home of an elderly Second Amendment patriot, he was quickly put out of his misery.
The homeowner was forced to shoot and kill the crook on Wednesday just before 11:30 a.m. to defend himself and his wife.
The elderly couple, who are both in their 70s, were in their own home when 54-year-old Steven Shaffer illegally entered their property.
WGAL reports that Shaffer entered the home in Berwick Township while not wearing pants and began assaulting the two residents.
However, the homeowners knew their 2A rights and were prepared to exercise them.
The husband asked the wife to go to the bedroom and grab the gun.
At this point, Shaffer allegedly reacted by attacking the woman.
Thankfully, the husband managed to get to the bedroom and grab his gun.
He then opened fire on Shaffer, killing him.
The Daily Voice notes that the elderly couple was hurt badly enough to need hospitalization.
The wife “sustained significant injuries and is in critical condition.”
Yet, thanks to the couple’s preparedness, the only person leaving the property in a body bag was the criminal.
