Bill and Hillary Clinton are refusing to appear before Congress to testify in connection with the Jeffrey Epstein scandal, according to Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL), who serves on the House Oversight Committee.
Luna announced Monday that both Clintons “are refusing” to sit for depositions sought by the committee.
“Bill and Hillary Clinton are refusing to appear before House Oversight for their depositions regarding Jeffrey Epstein,” Luna wrote.
“Notice how House Democrats suddenly have nothing to say about it.”

The development comes as President Donald Trump continues to directly tie top Democrats, including Bill Clinton, to Epstein’s inner circle.
On Monday, Trump told reporters:
“All of [Epstein’s] friends were Democrats.
“You look at this [LinkedIn founder] Reid Hoffman, you look at [former Secretary of the Treasury] Larry Summers, Bill Clinton, they went to [Epstein’s] island all the time, and many others. All Democrats.”

The president’s remarks echoed a Truth Social post from Friday night, where he named the same high-profile figures and warned:
“Records show that these men, and many others, spent large portions of their life with Epstein, and on his ‘Island.’ Stay tuned!!!”
As attention intensifies around newly released Epstein emails, Clinton spokesperson Angel Ureña issued a brief pushback, insisting:
“These emails prove Bill Clinton did nothing and knew nothing.
“The rest is noise meant to distract from election losses, backfiring shutdowns, and who knows what else.”
Meanwhile, Trump has reversed his earlier position on releasing Epstein files.
After telling supporters over the summer that calls to release them were “stupid” and “foolish,” he is now urging House Republicans to make the documents public.
In a lengthy Truth Social post Sunday night, Trump declared:
“House Republicans should vote to release the Epstein files, because we have nothing to hide, and it’s time to move on from this Democrat Hoax perpetrated by Radical Left Lunatics in order to deflect from the Great Success of the Republican Party, including our recent Victory on the Democrat ‘Shutdown.’”
He continued, “The Department of Justice has already turned over tens of thousands of pages to the Public on ‘Epstein,’ are looking at various Democrat operatives (Bill Clinton, Reid Hoffman, Larry Summers, etc.) and their relationship to Epstein, and the House Oversight Committee can have whatever they are legally entitled to, I DON’T CARE!”
Trump said his focus remains on Republican achievements:
“All I do care about is that Republicans get BACK ON POINT … delivering Historic Tax Cuts, gaining Trillions of Dollars of Investment into America, the rebuilding of our Military, securing our Border, deporting Criminal Illegal Aliens, ending Men in Women’s Sports, stopping Transgender for Everyone, and so much more!”
The president argued that if Democrats had any damaging evidence against him, “they would have released it before our Landslide Election Victory.”
He warned that some Republicans are being “used” and urged the party not to fall into the “Epstein ‘TRAP,’ which is actually a curse on the Democrats, not us.”
Trump’s renewed push stands in stark contrast to his comments in July, when he angrily lashed out at supporters demanding the files and said he didn’t want their backing.
For now, the standoff continues: the Clintons are refusing to testify, House Oversight is weighing next steps, and Trump is positioning the Epstein scandal squarely as a political weapon aimed back at the Democratic Party.
Interestingly, the Democrats had spent the last few years blocking efforts to release the Epstein files, but suddenly demanded they be made public as soon as Trump pushed back.
Now, Trump has called on Republicans to vote in favor of releasing the files while the Democrats are pushing to release them.
If the Epstein files are now released with bipartisan support, Trump may have played one of the greatest games of 4D chess in political history.
