Far-left Democrat Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) was booed off stage during a Somali music festival in her home state of Minnesota over the weekend.
Videos of the incident have gone viral on social media and show Omar walking on stage to a chorus of jeers and booing.
Omar, 39, made an appearance at the concert featuring Somali singer Soldaan Seraar at the Target Center in Minneapolis on Saturday night.
Despite Omar being born in Somalia, and the event being held in her home state over the July 4th weekend, the crowd made it clear that the congresswoman was not welcome.
People can be heard chanting “get out!” and telling the Democratic lawmaker to “get the f**k out of here!”
Omar shared a 14-second clip of herself and her husband Tim Mynett walking out on stage that didn’t show the negative response.
However, longer videos also circulated around social media
The angry response was so fiery from the crowd that the host of the event pleaded with the crowd to “stop this” before Omar left the stage.

It’s unclear what sparked the outburst against Omar, but the Republican challenging the two-term incumbent suggested her comments on LGBTQ issues and opposition to the Supreme Court’s recent decision to overturn Roe v. Wade played a role.
Omar was one of the representatives to appear at pro-abortion rallies in Washington, D.C. following the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade on June 24.
“In almost half of this country, states are ready to ban abortion,” Omar said at a protest at Union Station.
“Outright ban abortion.
“That means if you are sick, if you are raped, there is incest, you are forced to have that baby or die.”
Omar has also remained a strong supporter of more aggressive legislative measures to protect abortion rights, such as ending the filibuster so that Congress can try to codify abortion rights into federal law or expanding the Supreme Court to pack it with more liberal judges.

“This’s what she gets for trading her Godly, Conservative values for the sinful LGBTQIA’s & the promiscuous abortionists.”
Omar, who also has a history of anti-Semitic comments, is heavily favored to win a third term representing her district, which covers all of the city of Minneapolis
