Illegal Alien Arrested for Murdering 81-Year-Old Man in Texas

A 26-year-old illegal alien has been arrested in San Antonio, Texas over the murder of an 81-year-old man.

The San Antonio Police Department (SAPD) confirmed to KSAT that Alberto Rafael Ferrer Cabrera was arrested for killing the unidentified victim.

Police believe Ferrer Cabrera may have had a relationship with his victim but the motivation for the murder is not known.

According to police, Ferrer Cabrera claimed to have murdered the man on Saturday in the 100 block of Felisa Street.

Upon arrival on the scene, police found the 81-year-old man fatally stabbed, SAPD said.

Ferrer Cabrera was formerly detained for questioning, according to police.

However, in a later update from the department, he was arrested for murder and booked into the Bexar County Adult Detention Center.

Police told KSAT they are still working to determine a motive for the killing or what led to the deadly incident.

An ICE detainer allows the jail to hold Ferrer Cabrera for up to 48 hours.

The detainer gives ICE time to decide whether to take Ferrer Cabrera into federal custody for deportation.

Court records show that Cabrera was arrested and charged with murder and illegal entry from a foreign nation.

ICE racked up a number of arrests of convicted criminal illegal immigrants over the weekend.

Those arrests include foreign nationals convicted of murder, robbery, and domestic violence.

The arrests are part of ICE’s continuing efforts to deport as many public safety threats as it can.

Agents nabbed over 700 illegal immigrants over the weekend, including more than 500 with convictions or charges.

The arrests are among thousands throughout the country since President Donald Trump took office in January.

Trump promised to launch a “historic” mass deportation operation.

Officials have said they are prioritizing public safety threats but are also not excluding illegal aliens who do not have criminal convictions or charges.

The administration has lifted a number of Biden-era restrictions on ICE agents, including limits on their ability to enter “sensitive” areas like churches or schools.

On Monday, the administration ended Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for over 300,000 deportations.

TPS protects migrants from certain nations from deportation.

The Biden administration had extended TPS for a number of nationalities before leaving office.

The move makes it harder for ICE to deport them.

Meanwhile, El Salvador’s President Nayib Bukele “has agreed to the most unprecedented, extraordinary migratory agreement anywhere in the world,” U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio has announced.

Rubio confirmed that President Donald Trump’s administration has secured a deal for El Salvador to accept illegal aliens of any nationality deported from the United States.

The offer from El Salvador also includes accepting deported dangerous criminal aliens as well as American citizens currently imprisoned in the U.S.
