An Islamic illegal alien has been found dead in his jail cell after being arrested on terrorism charges.
According to CWBChicago, 22-year-old Sidi Mohamed Abdallahi was found dead at the Cook County jail in Illinois on Saturday.
Abdallahi was arrested on felony terrorism and hate crime charges in October.
He was charged for allegedly opening fire on a Jewish man and first responders while yelling “Allahu Akbar.”
Officials reported that Abdallahi was found hanging and appears to have committed suicide.
Abdallahi allegedly shot a 39-year-old man in Chicago’s West Rogers Park neighborhood.
In an apparent ambush, Abdallahi returned to the scene less than 30 minutes later.
He then opened fire on police, paramedics, and bystanders.
The incident was caught on a neighbor’s security camera.
The footage shows that the terror suspect was screaming “Allahu Akbar” during the second attack.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) confirmed that Abdallahi was an illegal alien.
He was a national of Mauritania, an Islamic country in Africa.
Abdallahi came into the U.S. illegally by crossing the open Southern Border.
He entered the country last year under the Biden-Harris administration’s open border policies.
Abdallahi faced 14 additional felony counts.
The charges included attempted first-degree murder, aggravated battery, and attempted murder of a police officer.
Police said at a press conference that they were unable to interview him because of his condition in the hospital.
Abdallahi was hospitalized after he was shot by law enforcement.
However, a search of his phone gave police investigators the evidence they needed to file the additional charges.
The evidence obtained by investigators allegedly showed that he planned the attack.
He had sought to specifically target Jews.
Jail staff discovered Abdallahi during routine security checks that were conducted at 3:30 p.m. Saturday.
Staff members attempted life-saving measures, and Abdallahi was transported to Mt. Sinai Hospital.
However, he was pronounced dead when he arrived at the hospital, the sheriff’s office said.
There was no evidence of foul play.
The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office is conducting an autopsy to confirm the cause and manner of Abdallahi’s death.
More than 15,000 people from Mauritania, a predominantly Muslim country in northwest Africa, entered the United States last year.
Most of those aliens rely on routes shared through social media networks.
