Jake Tapper’s CNN Producer Under Criminal Investigation for Sex Crimes with Minor, Resigns In Disgrace

Another top producer at CNN is now under criminal investigation over allegations involving “potential juvenile victims.”

Fairfax County (Va.) Police Department confirmed that a criminal investigation has been launched “into serious allegations involving potential juvenile victims” and that “detectives assigned to the Child Exploitation Squad of the Major Crimes Bureau are leading this investigation.”

The man they are investigating is Rick Saleeby, a senior producer for Jake Tapper’s “The Lead” until the story broke.

CNN and Saleeby were radio silent for a few days only to say he resigned right before the Fairfax police confirmed the ex-CNN producer is under criminal investigation.

“While we will eventually be transparent about our findings, safeguarding the personal privacy and safety of victims and witnesses as well as maintaining the integrity of our criminal investigation are of paramount importance,” a spokesman for Fairfax County Police said in a statement.

A spokesman for CNN said, “The person in question no longer works for CNN.”

They said he resigned earlier this month.

This criminal probe comes weeks after the arrest of former CNN producer John Griffin.

Griffin was also a top producer at CNN having worked with Cris Cuomo on the morning show.

From The Washington Examiner:

A statement from the department was obtained by Project Veritas, which said investigators were looking into allegations involving potential juvenile victims, although it did not mention Saleeby by name as reported by Post Millennial.

“Detectives assigned to the Child Exploitation Squad of the Major Crimes Bureau are leading the investigation. While we will eventually be transparent about our findings, safeguarding the personal privacy and safety of victims and witnesses as well as maintaining the integrity of our criminal investigation are of paramount importance,” police said.

“At this time, we are not in a position to provide additional detail on the scope or nature of this investigation,” the statement added.
