Jill Biden Slams Kamala Harris, Didn’t Want Her to Be Vice President

Jill Biden did not want Joe Biden to pick Kamala Harris as his Vice President according to a new book by Jonathan Martin and Alexander Burns called “This Will Not Pass: Trump, Biden, and the Battle for America’s Future.”

The book quotes key insiders in the Biden campaign as they vetted potential running matres for Biden. Other candidates for Kamala’s job were: Sen. Tammy Duckworth, D-Ill., Rep. Karen Bass, D-Calif., Rep. Val Demmings, D-Fla., New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham and Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer.

Jill was not happy when Kamala attacked Joe on the stage at a Dem debate. She said about Kamala according to the book, “There are millions of people in the United States, why do we have to choose the one who attacked Joe.”

Ron Klain, White House chief of staff, says in the book: “Yes, Harris had attacked Biden more harshly than any other major candidate in the Democratic primaries.

“Yes, the Biden family had seen it as a smear and a betrayal.”

According to the book, Klain told Biden Harris should be the pick:

“Choosing Harris will show people that you are magnanimous and forgiving, It will show the country just what a unifying leader you can be.”

“Stacey  Abrams fought hard to win real consideration but never overcame the experience issue” the book says about another possible pick.

“He asked me to sell him on vice president: ‘Why should you be the vice president?’” Lujan Grisham said Biden asked her during the vetting process.

“I didn’t ask to be vice president,” she told Biden.

“You asked for me to be vetted — you tell me why you think I would make a good vice president. This was not my idea.”

From The Daily Mail:

Since taking office as Biden’s vice president last year, Harris has been plagued by sinking approval ratings, negative headlines, and a steady exodus of top staffers that has raised questions about the work environment in her office.

This week Harris’ chief of staff Tina Flournoy became the 12th staffer, and the most senior, to depart her office, after a series of reports about internal conflicts.

The list of those leaving now includes her deputy chief of staff, her speechwriter, her chief spokeswoman, her security advisor, and other figures in her staff.

It all comes at a time of increased scrutiny on the White House ahead of 2024, following a report that Biden told Barack Obama he plans to run again at the age of 81.

Rumors have run rampant among Beltway insiders that Biden seeks to swap running mates in 2024 — but he has denied those claims.
