Jim Jordan Heading to Manhattan to Expose Alvin Bragg’s ‘Victims,’ Examine Crime in NYC

Republican House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) is going to New York City to hold a hearing with some of the “victims” of Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s radical policies.

In a statement on Twitter, Jordan blasted Bragg’s soft-on-crime policies.

Jordan stated that George Soros-funded Bragg’s policies have caused violent crime to soar out of control in NYC.

“Alvin Bragg’s radical pro-crime, anti-victim policies have led to an increase in violent crime in New York City,” Jordan said on Twitter.

“Next week, the Judiciary Committee will examine these policies during a field hearing in Manhattan.”

The House Judiciary Committee will hear from “victims” of Bragg’s policies.

New York, like every Soros-infiltrated blue city across America, has seen crime spiral out of control after “woke” prosecutors came into power.

The “field hearing” will be held at 9 a.m. Monday, April 17, at the Jacob Javits Federal Building.

The building is a few blocks from Bragg’s Lower Manhattan office and the courthouse where President Donald Trump was arraigned last week.

According to The New York Post, the hearing will examine the city’s “rampant crime and victims of Alvin Bragg.”

As Slay News previously reported, Jordan subpoenaed former New York County Special Assistant District Attorney Mark Pomerantz earlier.

Pomerantz led the investigation into President Trump’s finances.

However, Pomerantz resigned in protest after Bragg chose not to move forward with charges against Trump.

Bragg later changed his mind and indicted Trump on 34 counts.

The letter Jordan sent to Mark said:

“As a result, the New York County District Attorney’s unprecedented prosecutorial conduct requires oversight to inform the consideration of potential legislative reforms that would, if enacted, insulate current and former presidents from such politically motivated state and local prosecutions.

“Based on your unique role as a special assistant district attorney leading the investigation into President Trump’s finances, you are uniquely situated to provide information that is relevant and necessary to inform the Committee’s oversight and potential legislative reforms.

“Although the New York County District Attorney’s Office has directed you not to cooperate with our oversight, you have already discussed many of the topics relevant to our oversight in a book you wrote and published in February 2023, as well as in several public interviews to promote your book.

“As a result, you have no basis to decline to testify about matters before the Committee.

“Accordingly, for these reasons, and in light of your disregard of our earlier voluntary request, please find attached a subpoena compelling your appearance for a deposition,” the letter said.
