Biden Back-Pedals after Divisive Speech Backlash: ‘I Don’t Consider Any Trump Supporter to Be a Threat’

Democrat President Joe Biden seemed to back-peddle on his divisive remarks following a widespread backlash against his Thursday night speech at the White House.

Biden has provoked outrage from both sides after trying to paint supporters of President Donald Trump as “extremists” and a “threat.”

Fox News reporter Peter Doocy asked: “Do you think all Trump supporters are a threat to the country?”

Biden said: “I don’t consider any Trump supporter to be a threat.

“I do think anyone who calls for the use of violence and refuses to acknowledge an election has been won.

“That is a threat to democracy.”

“The 74 million people who voted for Trump weren’t voting for attacking the capital.

“They weren’t voting for overruling the election.

“They were going for a philosophy he put forward.”

During his speech, Biden went after half of the country in an effort to smear those who support Trump.

Biden labeled Trump supporters as “MAGA Republicans.”

“Too much of what’s happening in our country today is not normal,” Biden said.

“Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans represent an extremism that threatens the very foundations of our republic.”

“There’s no question that the Republican Party today is dominated, driven, intimidated by Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans.

“And that is a threat to this country,” Biden claimed.

“MAGA Republicans have made their choice.

“They embrace anger. They thrive on chaos.

“They live not in the light of truth, but in the shadow of lies.

“Together, we can choose a different path.”
