Democrat President Joe Biden has issued a threat to Elon Musk that his administration may investigate Twitter’s new boss as a “threat to national security.”
Biden made the comments during a rare press conference where he boasted about the Democrats not losing as badly as expected in the midterms.
During the presser, a reporter asked Biden whether Musk poses a “threat to national security.”
Biden responded by claiming that Musk’s “relationships with other countries” is something his administration considers “worthy” of investigation.
“I think that Elon Musk’s cooperation and/or technical relationships with other countries is worthy of being looked at,” Biden said.
“Whether or not he is doing anything inappropriate — I’m not suggesting that — I’m suggesting it’s worth being looked at.
“And that’s all I’ll say,” Biden said.

Independent journalist Matt Taibbi fired back at Biden’s comments.
“Where’s the alleged wrongdoing justifying this?” Taibbi said.
“It’s bad enough that we investigate people without cause now, but having the President label people threats in public?
“And people are okay with this?
“This is beyond f*cked.”

As Greg Price notes, Biden believes Elon Musk’s ownership of Twitter is a “threat” but the Democrats or their allies in the media aren’t interested in the hugely popular app TikTok.
TikTok is directly linked to the Chinese Communist Party.
