Biden Admin Rejects 1 Million Monkeypox Doses from Denmark, Despite Warnings of Emergency

Democrat President Joe Bide’s administration has rejected one million doses of monkeypox vaccine from Denmark, despite warnings of a looming emergency.

In late June, Biden’s U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced the activation of its Emergency Operations Center (EOC) to respond to the monkeypox outbreak in America.

On June 28th, the White House issued a statement that said:

“Today, the Biden-Harris Administration announced the first phase of its national monkeypox vaccine strategy, a critical part of its monkeypox outbreak response.

“The vaccine strategy will help immediately address the spread of the virus by providing vaccines across the country to individuals at high risk.

“This phase of the strategy aims to rapidly deploy vaccines in the most affected communities and mitigate the spread of the disease.”

Yet despite the Biden admin insisting that it must “expand vaccination for individuals at risk” to tackle the disease, while the midterms loom, the White House is turning down a large supply of the shots.

According to the Biden White House, the government couldn’t accept the shots due to some United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) bureaucracy.

Reporter Josh Barro broke it down: “Absolute insanity: The Biden Admin won’t accept 1 million doses of Monkeypox vaccine from Denmark because the FDA failed to do a timely inspection of the plant — even though EU authorities did inspect the plant and approved its product for use in the EU.

“I literally don’t get how the ‘but my paperwork!!’ crowd at the FDA sleeps at night.

“They’ve been so consistently behind the curve on approvals — with much greater consequence on COVID, but also with Monkeypox.

“Literally we have *bought* these doses already and they’re sitting in a freezer in Denmark until some bureaucrats decide to allow them into the US.”

A top Biden administration official tried to bat away mounting criticism from public health activists Thursday that the White House is letting red tape snarl delivery of 1 million monkeypox vaccine doses — which are currently stuck at the manufacturing plant in Denmark.

It was the first appearance by the federal government’s pandemic response chief in New York City since local LGBTQ organizers sent the June 28 letter to the White House revealing the existence of massive supply sidelined by red tape.

The US government spent at least $2 billion developing and manufacturing the vaccine for the national stockpile, the June 28 letter states, but the Food and Drug Administration has refused to import the shots after it failed to inspect the plant — and then refused to accept the inspection results from European Union’s regulatory arm, which deemed the facility safe.
