Democrat President Joe Biden’s sister, Valerie Biden Owens, has trashed Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) in her new book.
In her new book, Growing up Biden, she blasts Graham as a Trump sycophant, saying he lost his soul.
She writes that after Trump was elected president in 2016, Graham “became sycophant in chief.”
She said it was “troubling” to see her brother’s old friends in the Senate “do nothing or at worst participate,” as Trump brought “fresh degradations almost every day.”
Graham was close friends with the late Sen. John McCain, an Arizona Republican, who was also friendly with Biden.
Owens wrote that after McCain died “perhaps a part of Senator Graham’s soul died” too.
“The man is unrecognizable to me today,” Owens wrote.
She is also trying to tell the media that Hunter Biden is going “through hell” and claims he is a victim of Trump.
When asked by USA Today if Hunter bears responsibility for his scandals she said: “No. Hunter walked through hell.
“He didn’t wake up and say, ‘Aunt Val, I think I’m going to be an addict.”
“I don’t know what could be worse than Beau’s dying of glioblastoma when he was 46 years old,” she said.
“I don’t know what could be worse than watching Hunter walk through hell.”
As to what is coming or may come at the family because of Hunter’s scandals she said:
“You never say the worst is over, but whatever comes, we can handle it as a family.”
She then blamed Trump and his followers for some of Biden’s problems:
“Trump and his right-wing followers have continued to do whatever they can to discredit the family and therefore to bring Joe down.”
“My brother’s a stutterer, and he still stutters and tries to get things out,” she said defending the flubs and gaffes that have defined him as a politician.
“And what did really make me mad and drive me crazy was when he would go to speak, and there would be a hesitancy, and the critique from the bad guys, the right-wing, was that he’s not smart; he didn’t know what he was saying.”

During Biden’s second presidential campaign in 2007 and 2008, Owens served as her brother’s national campaign chair.
It does not appear that Biden’s campaign paid her directly, but the Democratic consulting firm Joe Slade White & Company, where Owens was serving as an “Executive Vice President,” raked in over $2.5 million from Biden’s presidential campaign and the “Citizens for Biden” committee between March 2007 and October 2008.
Owens’ daughter, Valerie J. Owens, who goes by “Missy,” also cashed in by working for her uncle’s presidential campaign, where she made tens of thousands of dollars.
Missy would go on to score multiple high-level positions during the Obama-Biden administration. She served as the deputy chief of staff in the Energy Department between Feb. 2009 and June 2011, according to her LinkedIn page.
She then served a year as the chief of staff to the deputy Commerce secretary for a year.
