Johns Hopkins Medicine’s ‘Diversity’ Chief Resigns after Pushing ‘Privilege Hit List’

Johns Hopkins Medicine’s head of so-called “diversity” has been forced to step down after sending out a controversial “privilege hit list” that sparked a major backlash.

According to The Baltimore Sun, Dr. Sherita Golden, the institution’s “chief diversity officer,” has resigned after defining the word “privilege” in the most racist and asinine way possible.

Golden published a radical and divisive definition of the word in a January newsletter from the institution.

However, the definition immediately caused a backlash that would lead to her departure.

The word “privilege” was defined by the diversity officer as she decided it was the “word of the month” at the prestigious medical institution.

Golden created the new definition of the word according to the most woke possible standards imaginable.

She wrote that it means “a set of unearned benefits given to people who are in a specific social group.”

Unsurprisingly, she defined those “social groups” as “white people, heterosexuals, cisgender people, men and Christians,” among others

For those unfamiliar with leftist terminology, a “cisgender” is someone who “identifies” as their real, biological gender.

“Cisgender” is often used as a slur by leftists to refer to anyone who isn’t “transgender” or “non-binary.”

The Baltimore Sun noted:

“Republican politicians and conservative media outlets seized the email as an example that diversity, equity, and inclusion work is discrimination paid for with tax dollars.

“U.S. Rep. Andy Harris, Maryland’s only Republican congressman, described the diversity memo as racist and called for Golden’s termination.”

Taking due credit for her ultimate resignation is the X account “End Wokeness.”

The account received viral attention after posting the email, titled a “privilege hit list,” which it received via an unidentified leak.

Golden’s email received attention from the likes of Elon Musk and Donald Trump Jr. before finally building enough pressure to force her out of the position.

In a statement, Golden apologized for her divisive definition of the word.

“The intent of the newsletter is to inform and support an inclusive community at Hopkins, but the language of this definition clearly did not meet that goal,” Golden wrote.

“In fact, because it was overly simplistic and poorly worded, it had the opposite effect of being exclusionary and hurtful to members of our community.”
