Judge Threatens Hunter Biden’s Lawyers with Sanctions for Lying to Block Whistleblowers’ Testimony

A federal judge is outraged after discovering that Hunter Biden’s lawyers lied in an effort to try to block the testimony from IRS whistleblowers.

Delaware Judge Maryellen Noreika is threatening Hunter Biden’s attorneys with sanctions unless they explain their actions.

The lawyers were caught making a fake call to a clerk asking that testimony from IRS whistleblowers be removed from Hunter Biden’s case.

Judge Noreika excoriated the attorneys after the plot was discovered, the Daily Mail reported.

House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Jason Smith (R-MO) alerted Noreika to the plot.

The congressman told Noreika that someone had called the court clerk and misrepresented herself as Smith’s attorney.

During the call, the fake lawyer requested the removal of 448 pages of congressional testimony from the IRS whistleblowers.

When Smith’s real lawyer told the clerk this was an error, they fired off a missive to Biden’s attorney.

Hunter’s lawyers then claimed that the clerk had taken down the testimony on his own.

Smith reportedly provided evidence that the request had come from a staffer with ties to Biden’s attorneys.

Noreika demanded that Biden’s attorneys explain the incident or face sanctions.

“It appears that the caller misrepresented her identity and who she worked for in an attempt to improperly convince the clerk’s office to remove the amicus materials from the docket,” ordered Noreika.

“Therefore, it is hereby ordered that, on or before 9 pm today on July 25, 2023, counsel for defendant shall show cause as to why sanctions should not be considered for misrepresentations to the court,” she added.

Smith also requested that Noreika toss out the “sweetheart deal” made between Hunter Biden and Delaware prosecutors.

Biden had been under investigation over unpaid taxes and false information he placed on an application for a firearms license.

“The Defendant appears to have benefited from political interference which calls into question the propriety of the investigation of the U.S. Attorney’s Office,” wrote Smith’s attorney in the court filing.

“[I]t is critical that the Court consider the Whistleblower Materials before determining whether to accept the Plea Agreement.”
