Vice President Kamala Harris has canceled her planned trip to California and reportedly “raced to the White House” in her motorcade.
President Joe Biden, the first lady, and other members of the family have also unexpectedly returned to the White House from Delaware.
Videos have emerged on social media showing Harris’s motorcade rushing toward the White House, provoking speculation.

The sudden change in schedules has fueled speculation about a growing crisis in the Biden administration.
With just one month until President Donald Trump is sworn in, the Biden admin faces mounting challenges.
The Biden admin is now also facing the possibility of a government shutdown.
Harris was scheduled to depart from Washington at 9:15 PM ET for a late-night arrival in Los Angeles.
However, she canceled her trip midday Thursday without providing specifics.
On Thursday night, Harris was spotted rushing toward the White House.
The White House issued a terse press release confirming her change of plans.
The statement didn’t give any specifics and only noted that Harris would stay in Washington to receive briefings and hold internal meetings.
“These meetings will be closed press,” the statement noted.
Meanwhile, Biden was escorted back to the White House after spending time in Wilmington, Delaware.
Biden had returned to Delaware to attend a memorial service for his late ex-wife and daughter.
